Office is wary of strong baht and conflicts in 2026

Exports recorded an all-time high of US$340 billion in 2025, growing 12.9% year-on-year, the strongest performance in four years, according to the Trade Policy and Strategy Office (TPSO).

The increase was largely driven by robust electronics exports and a surge in shipments to the US, despite tariff barriers.

Imports also rose by 12.9% to $345 billion, resulting in a trade deficit of $5.3 billion.

Exports in December 2025 expanded by 16.8% to $28.9 billion, while imports grew by 18.8% to $29.3 billion.
