Diesel price stays at B32 per litre

Fee from motorists to fund slashed
The domestic diesel price is remaining unchanged at 32 baht a litre as the Oil Fuel Fund Office (Offo) decided to decrease motorists' contributions to the Oil Fuel Fund by 0.5 baht a litre, keeping the price steady as the Israel-Iran conflict erupts.
The reduction takes effect starting today.
The price regulation through the fund is needed as diesel comprises 50% of total fuel consumption in Thailand, used extensively in the transport and agricultural sectors, as well as to fuel the Thai economy, said Pornchai Jirakulpisan, director for policy and planning at Offo.
