Cyber-incidents, including cybercrime, data breaches, ransomware and service interruptions, are the top business risk in Thailand for 2026, followed by natural catastrophes and risks related to climate change, according to the latest Allianz Risk Barometer.

Cyber-incidents rose four spots to become the top business risk in Thailand, according to 37% of respondents, up from 21% last year, noted the annual corporate risk survey conducted by Germany-based Allianz Group.

According to Check Point Software Technologies, organisations in Thailand had 3,201 cyber-attacks per week in the first half of 2025, 164% higher than the global average, with cybercriminals increasingly targeting government agencies and critical infrastructure.

Phishing remains one of the leading attack methods in Thailand, with cybercriminals exploiting social engineering techniques and identity spoofing to target both consumers and businesses.
