Court upholds Kong's jail term

The Supreme Court has upheld the prison sentence for Ukris “Kong” Santiprasitkul in a high-profile royal defamation case under Section 112 of the Criminal Code and the Computer Crime Act.
The Supreme Court yesterday ordered the 25-year-old law student from Ramkhamhaeng University to serve a jail term totalling nine years and six months. He has already spent a year and nine months in custody.
The case stemmed from five Facebook posts made between 2020 and 2021 concerning Their Majesties the King and Queen.
