Cops raid illegal weed edibles producer

Police from the Consumer Protection Police Division (CPPD) raided an illegal cannabis-infused jelly and cookie production site in Bangkok’s Khlong Sam Wa district, seizing more than 500 items with an estimated value in excess of 900,000 baht.
Pol Maj Gen Pattanasak Buppasuwan, commander of the CPPD, said yesterday that the raid was conducted on Thursday in a house located in tambon Bang Chan and found a clandestine production site for cannabis-infused jellies and cookies.
Police arrested one man identified as Sutthiphon, 22, an employee responsible for cultivating and maintaining the cannabis plants.
