Cold snap to ease from Monday

Cold weather will persist across upper Thailand until Monday before temperatures edge up slightly until Jan 15, the Meteorological Department (MD) said.

The department recently issued a weather forecast covering Jan 9-12, which stated that upper Thailand would continue to experience persistent cold conditions, while the South would see cool weather due to the high-pressure system and cold air mass currently covering the upper South and the South China Sea.
