Anwar calls for restraint as clashes spread

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim urged Thailand and Cambodia to exercise restraint in the wake of fresh clashes between the two countries, saying the fighting could undo all the work that went into the ceasefire deal that he brokered.
“We urge both sides to exercise maximum restraint, maintain open channels of communication and make full use of the mechanisms in place,” Mr Anwar, current chair of Asean, said on X.
