Activist vows more legal woes

Activist and lawyer Nitithorn Lamluea yesterday vowed to pursue further legal action against former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra after the Supreme Court ordered him to fully serve his one-year sentence.

The court ruled yesterday that Thaksin's hospital detention was an attempt to avoid prison and ordered him back to jail.
Citing the ruling, Mr Nitithorn said he will petition the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) to consider imposing further punishment on Thaksin as he was the cause of the problem, preventing actual imprisonment.
