Water-themed Victoria Day promises flood of activities

VICTORIA Day returns to Aldershot on Saturday and it is sure to make a splash.

Organised by Rushmoor Borough Council, this year's theme is 'wonderful water' and everyone is invited to get involved and have 'some sea-rious fun!
The local authority is promising a packed day of summer activities from 10am until 4pm - there will be stalls and entertainment all around the town centre, with lots of free things to do.
The colourful carnival parade will feature spectacular costumes and puppets in keeping with the watery theme. Aldershot's very own Queen Victoria, Betty Bryce, will also be leading the procession of more than 1,000 local people setting off from Princes Hall at 11am and ending at the High Street multi-storey car park.
