Rate relief helps Craft Coop return

A POPULAR artisan craft shop in Camberley's The Square that was forced to close in September, has reopened with help of Surrey Heath Borough Council.

According to the authority, the closure of Craft Coop, a collective with locations across the South East, was brought on by “unsustainable overheads” after a government change to mandatory business rate relief.

However, the relocation and reopening of the branch has been welcomed thanks to a discretionary rate relief deal.
