Last year, complete Chaniya-Choli sets were priced between Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,500. This year, while chaniyas are still available starting at Rs 800, the prices of fashionable cholis alone have jumped significantly, now ranging between Rs 1,000 and Rs 2,500.

'Prices have doubled'

"I bought a blouse last year for Rs 700, but this time, I am seeing prices starting from Rs 1,000 and going up to Rs 2,000 or more. It has made me hesitant to buy new clothes this season," said Dhwani Vadher, a regular Navratri shopper at Law Garden.
