Doctors blame post-Covid habits of prolonged earphone use and rising noise pollution; self-medication and diabetes also causes
Earphones are wrecking young ears.
Since the pandemic, medical experts have seen a 15 per cent rise in hearing problems among teenagers and young adults. Prolonged earphone use at high volume, gaming audio, loud concerts and DJs, and everyday noise pollution are all to blame.
But it is not just teens any more. Even people in their 30s and 40s are walking in with complaints.
