Heart-related consultations among younger people have surged in recent years. Those aged 25 to 45 are now seeking advice from cardiologists and physicians at unprecedented rates.

Medical experts note that full-body checkups in this age group have increased sharply since COVID-19. This follows several cardiac-related deaths among young people during the pandemic.

“Pre-COVID, I mainly saw patients over 60,” says Dr Krishnakishore Goyal, senior consulting cardiologist at SGVP Hospital. “Now 25% of my patients fall between 25 and 45 years old.”
