Drunk, speeding drivers kill 1, critically injure 3

Drunk and speeding drivers continue to wreak havoc on city roads in dry Gujarat. In the latest incident, a 27-year-old man was killed near Memnagar, while a 47-year-old commuter sustained critical injuries after being rammed by a speeding SUV on the Sola flyover. Two others suffered minor injuries. The two separate incidents were reported between the night of May 24 and the early hours of May 25.

The incidents underscore the growing menace of drunk driving and speeding especially during late hours and come despite recent crackdowns by traffic police.
