Coldest start to November in a decade

For the first time in a decade, temperature in Ahmedabad fell below 15°C in the first week of November itself; minimum temperature was 14.7°C on November 7; Naliya, Gandhinagar coldest at 14°C on Monday

Ahmedabad is feeling the chill much earlier this year.

The city had recorded a minimum temperature of 14.7°C on November 7, the coldest start to November in the last decade, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The chill continued on Monday as the minimum temperature dipped to 15°C, around three degrees below normal. The day remained pleasant with the maximum temperature settling at 31.4°C, about 2.6 degrees below normal.
