JIMMY Knowles has departed Stanley to sign for Altrincham for an undisclosed fee in a move which suits all parties.

Knowles, signed last summer from Boston United, struggled to establish himself in John Doolan’s first team during the Reds’ tough opening to the 2024/25 campaign. He was eventually loaned back to former club Boston in January for the remainder of the season. On returning to the Jakesmans Community Stadium, the 23-year-old rediscovered form and proved his ability in a struggling Pilgrims team.
