Division 1 is split into two pools of four this season with Yorkshire, North Midlands, Leicestershire and Lancashire in Pool 1, and Surrey, Gloucestershire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire in Pool 2.
Leicestershire hammered Berkshire 40-5 in last year’s final after beating Northumberland and North Midlands on the way to Twickenham, but Lewis is expecting a tougher campaign this time around and is wary of their new opponents.
She said: “With such a busy campaign, this is a short bit of fun for us at the end of the season. Everyone takes their league so seriously now, so this is about having fun in the sun.
