FINN Russell captained Scotland for the first time last weekendin their win over France and former teammate Stuart Hogg says the Bath bound flyhalf is a natural leader
Scotland mounted a fightback from 18-0 down to beat a youthful France side despite Zander Fagerson’s red card.
Captain Russell kicked 10 points in the 25-21 win and recently retired Hogg says Russell has always a great leader in the camp whilst he was skipper.
Hogg said: “The only thing that made me captain was the C next to my name. For me, Finn Russell has been a captain for years. I relied heavily on him as a player because he’s the world’s best and is an unbelievable leader. He was captain for a long time, I just got to lead the side out.
“He has a massive influence on that side. You get the best Finn Russell, you get the best Scotland.”
