Gateshead had won their last six in the league but their fourth outing in eight days and fifth in 12 proved a game too far for Mike Williamson's depleted side.

Corey Whiteley gave the Ravens the lead early in the second half with Ryan Stirk and Louis Dennis adding two more late on.

A disappointing afternoon for Gateshead was bookended by subsitute Carl Magnay being sent off from the bench after just seven minutes, while a howler from goalkeeper Filip Marschall gifted Bromley their third.

Gateshead are not yet mathematically safe, while the Ravens moved in to the final play-off place.

"We started well but lacked a cutting edge in the first half," said Gateshead boss Williamson. "But the defensive third and middle third were good.
