The league leaders’ dominance was reflected with a well-worked team goal finished by Zak Brunt and a simple poacher’s effort from Nicke Kabamba in time added on.

“We have raised the bar this year,” said Barnet head coach Dean Brennan. “I’m asking the players to do things I didn’t last season.

“We created chance after chance with our free-flowing football. I asked for us to be relentless and today we were brave in possession.

“All in all, it was a comprehensive performance, we have a lot of pace and we had a good impact from all three substitutes.

“I thought we were outstanding, a relentless performance with us keeping our shape.”
