DABBERS GET READY PLAY TRUMP CARD!

Dabbers boss Carden, 44, spent five years at the Deva during his days as an all-action midfielder, racking up more than 200 appearances across two separate spells.

Relegated from the Football League shortly after joining the club in 2000, Carden briefly joined Doncaster but returned within months and in 2003-04 captained the Blues to the Conference title.

“I’ve got a lot of brilliant memories of Chester but that was the highlight,” says Carden, who also played for Peterborough, Burton, Cam bridge and Luton.

“That was a massive achievement for me personally, especially as I was the only player left from the team that got relegated. That gave me a lot of satisfaction, and it’s probably the best moment of my playing career. I’d gone there from Rochdale towards the back of the 1999-2000 season and I think there were ten games left.
