LNJ GreenPET's Vision for Sustainable Manufacturing
-
LNJ GreenPET is a pioneering force in India's circular economy transition and part of the LNJ Bhilwara Group. Here, we are in an exclusive email conversation with Mr Mahesh Kumar Yogi, Chief Executive Officer & Director at LNJ GreenPET and Chief Executive & Business Head at RSWM Limited.
Share your thoughts on scaling circular solutions to help FMCG, beverage, and consumer brands meet Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations and build a low-carbon future.
At LNJ GreenPet Limited, we believe scaling circular solutions is both an environmental imperative and a business opportunity. The FMCG, beverage, and consumer goods sectors generate enormous volumes of packaging waste, and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) has rightly placed accountability back on the producers. To meet these obligations and simultaneously build a low-carbon future, we must move from a linear “use and discard” model to a robust circular economy.
Our approach is to strengthen collection, segregation, and advanced recycling systems, ensuring that post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and other plastics are not seen as waste but as valuable raw materials. By investing in state-of-the-art recycling technologies, we are creating high-quality rPET that matches virgin grades, enabling global brands to incorporate sustainable content without compromising on performance.Partnerships are equally critical. We work closely with brands, local bodies, and waste management companies to establish transparent supply chains and scalable reverse logistics. This builds traceability, reduces leakage into the environment, and lowers overall carbon intensity.
