A spa at any city five star hotel usually summons more of the same: The tried and tested for the tired and testy. But as urban woes add to the grind of nine-to-nine living, a lymphatic drainage massage or Swedish techniques using aromatherapy oils may not always cut it. Step into the subterranean environs of the cavernous new Wellness Club at the Shangri-La Eros New Delhi and they may just offer a more unique wellness wellspring. Discerning biohackers and wellness connoisseurs will find much to engage, and what makes it even more alluring, at least for me, is that it sits, smack in the middle of Delhi's racing heart, and yet offers the kind of quietude that is a rationed indulgence at best.
