Marking Milestones

Celebrating its 250th anniversary this year, Breguet’s kept a steady stream of novelties coming through. Its first release, the Classique Souscription 2025 (Ref.2025BH/28/9W6) is a modern take on the brand's historical pocket watch, Souscription, introduced in 1796.

This new model also marks the debut of an alloy exclusive to the maison, Breguet Gold, a mix of gold, silver, copper, and palladium. The watch features a single flame-blued hand, a white enamel dial, Arabic numerals, a ‘chemin de fer’ (railroad) minute track, and curved lugs, along with a movement architecture that’s the same as the original. Measuring 40 mm, the satin-brushed case middle also pays tribute to the style of the original timepiece. Turning the watch reveals the new Calibre VS00, beating at 3 Hz and providing four days of power reserve. It is crafted in gilded brass, in the same shade as Breguet Gold. The central ratchet wheel features an engraved inscription in cursive script of the founder’s words, which explain the design of the Souscription movement. The watch is water resistant to 250 metres.
