The Michelin Guide has made its Philippine debut, and what an entrance.

On October 30th at the Manila Marriott Hotel, the culinary establishment gathered to witness history: 108 restaurants earning their place in that coveted little red book-one Two Michelin Stars, eight One Michelin Star, 25 Bib Gourmand, and 74 Michelin Selected. It's a lineup that speaks to our evolving dining landscape while celebrating what makes Philippine cuisine utterly distinctive.

The evening's crowning moment? Helm, where chef Josh Boutwood's exquisite tasting menu earned Two Michelin Stars-a first for the country. Ever the perfectionist with that signature wit intact, Boutwood captured the moment perfectly: "My whole world crashed down on me, in a good way." One can only imagine the champagne flowing that night.
