STATUESQUE, CONFIDENT, AND unassuming—these are the first impressions one has when speaking with Renaud Salmon, chief creative officer of high perfumery house Amouage.
Over the course of our conversation, other qualities reveal themselves: industriousness, curiosity, and a quiet intensity.
With a distinguished background in international beauty creative direction and luxury brand management—namely at Louis Vuitton, Delvaux, and Marc Jacobs—Salmon is intent on challenging convention. Since joining Amouage in 2019 to lead the creative team, he has done precisely that. Beyond product development and campaign ideation, he strives to create a rich, sensorial world for the brand’s patrons, overseeing every element of the business, including all consumer touchpoints, with a particular emphasis on digital and social engagement.
