A TRIO OF foreign students at a New England university discovered that they had parked their car illegally.

A policeman hovering on the spot was about to write a summons, but the students protested their innocence in halting, broken English. The officer seemed inclined to let them off until he spotted a book on the car seat, entitled Magnetohydrodynamics. Grimly he made out the ticket.
“I don’t know what that means,” he said. “But if you do, you darn well know what ‘No Parking’ means.”
