PAULINE'S SON JASON REMAINS HOPEFUL HE CAN FIND HER

I't's been a long and painful journey for Jason Lawrence. But from the moment his mum, Pauline Sowry, vanished from his life more than 30 years ago, Jason has never given up hope of finding out what happened to her. Pauline, aged 49, disappeared from her home in Wollongong, NSW in December 1993. A 2008 coronial inquest found that she had died. While her body has never been discovered, the mystery of what actually happened to Pauline could finally be solved, Jason believes. “When Mum vanished, I was newly married and starting my life,” Jason, 54, recalls. “I now have four children and a grandchild, and the saddest thing is that they never had the opportunity to meet Mum – they never got to know how strong, caring and loving she was.”
