As I pen this note down, it hits me yet again that travel is an essential part of my being and not merely a luxury. It's my escape from hectic work schedules and a chance to explore new places and revive my soul.

My recent 20-day European getaway was a soul-stirring experience that I would certainly cherish for a lifetime.

Filled with one-of-a-kind, heartwarming experiences that the continent had to offer, I absorbed the breathtaking beauty of Europe with the love of my life, my wife Shinjini.

A travel enthusiast, I love mapping out our trips to new places well in advance.

As a couple, we get this incredible joy in discovering historical sites and immersing ourselves in diverse cultures - to us, it feels very fascinating. On a more individual note, these journeys have immensely pushed me to grow on a personal level and see life from fresh perspectives. However, the best part has to be meeting the locals, enjoying local cuisines, and getting involved in their traditions. It's like discovering a range of experiences that help us learn more about the world.

Before we left India, many close friends and colleagues had warned us to be careful in Europe as there's a lot of snatching that happens and we shouldn't carry our passports or a lot of money, and we did experience that, which at that moment certainly left us in shock. Even though we were being very careful, during our stay in Rome, after visiting the Vatican City, my wife and I were extremely tired and all we wanted was a meal. While we were happily enjoying our food, suddenly the restaurant manager came and told my wife that someone had run away with her black handbag and it was strange because we never even felt that someone had come so close and taken it away. I ran and chased, and had my hero moment there, and got the bag back.
