When it comes to understanding what today's grooms really want, who better to turn to than the founders themselves- Shantanu & Nikhil- pioneers of Indian menswear couture.
How would you define the modern Indian groom’s style today?
The grooms today are dressing for identity. For nuance. For resonance. Our new Fall-Winter collection- Metropolis, was crafted for this new man. A man who does not dress to conform, but to define. Who chooses a pearled inner or a cropped bandhgala jacket not to dazzle, but to disrupt. Who understands that structure can be sensual, and that power does not need to be loud to be commanding.
What role does customisation play in a groom's wedding wardrobe?
Customisation gives meaning to ceremony. When a groom approaches us, it is rarely just for an outfit, it is for a statement, a silhouette that echoes who he is and what he stands for. Whether it is a sculpted waistband to define stance or a personalised inner layer that tells a quieter story, every detail contributes to a larger narrative. Customisation helps unshackle traditionalism, allowing the groom to move beyond repetition and wear something that is both rooted and radical. The goal is always to marry individuality with our house codes.
How do you incorporate a groom's personal story, cultural heritage, or personality into your designs?
