ALL THAT GLITTERS WITH FALGUNI & SHANE PEACOCK

What do Beyoncé, Paris Hilton, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Nicki Minaj, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kim Kardasian and a plethora of other A-list celebrities around the world have in common? They've all sported and delighted in the artsy, avant-garde designs of Falguni Shane Peacock.

Since their onset two decades ago, the label has been dedicated to placing India on the global stage by fashioning vivid couture pieces that are replete with contemporary sentiments but rooted in Indian artisanship. The brand is now synonymous with glamour and being maximal, their sartorial language defined by over-the-top silhouettes, flowing ball gowns and classic head turners. However, when one thinks of a signature Falguni Shane Peacock, they envision dainty feathers, playful fringes and dazzling sequins.

image“Right from the start, we imagined the #PeacockWoman as someone who's unapologetically glamorous — and feathers, fringes and sequins just felt like the perfect way to bring that vision to life,” says Falguni Peacock. “These elements don’t just act as details but add that extra sparkle that makes the wearer feel like a glam goddess. That’s how we started with these as our signature elements. Today, they're a part of our brand identity... Over time, we've played around with them, using new techniques and embroideries, and mixing in fresh elements to keep things exciting.”
