What is Fair Opportunity Project?
It’s a program that provides free mentorship to high school students who are applying to college. Students will reach out to us with specific questions about the application process or in general need of help navigating it. Many high school counseling programs are really busy, supporting whole grades of students. We add a layer on top of that to assist people from all backgrounds.

How do you become qualified to be a mentor?
Fair Opportunity Project mentors take a training class when they sign up, and we have a detailed handbook with reference material. Both mentors and students have access to Fair Opportunity Project’s online guide to applying for college. You can download it at www.fair opportunityproject .org/download-guide.
