Comedian Donna Brookbanks turned her green-fingered love into a show

Actor, comedian and writer Donna Brookbanks lives in Morningside, Auckland, with her cat, Stevie. Donna's a graduate of the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York, whose alumni include Jeff Goldblum, Steve McQueen and Grace Kelly and got into stand-up through an improv group she co-founded called Snort. Made up of comedians like Eli Matthewson, Guy Montgomery and Rose Matafeo, she was inspired to give stand-up a go. The two-time Billy T Award nominee is returning to her acting roots with solo shows such as Green Fingered, incorporating characters, sketches and storytelling.
