As if balancing the three elements isn’t tricky enough, Joann was entrusted to do so for a family home for five. Six, if we’re counting their feline friend, whose itchy claws were another consideration during materials selection. Nevertheless, the interior designer nailed what she calls the “clean yet moody” aesthetic.

“It really was a smooth project as we were in tune with each other. Because the homeowners treated us like their friends, it made the journey very pleasant, fun, and easy,” she recounted.
