Making the decision to pinch space from a windowless shower room and an airing cupboard resulted in a luxurious, mid-century style retreat

Blaise and Vaughan Roberts couldn't have been more ecstatic when they got the keys to their first home together - a 1950s period property. Despite the interiors being ready for them to move into, there was just one snag - the bathrooms.

ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT

'The main bathroom was quite drab and not our style at all, plus all the bathrooms had carpets and worst of all there was no bath,' says Blaise. There was also a smaller en suite off the guest bedroom that was equally uninspiring with no window and a 'rouge' carpet, so it was a no-brainer to completely revamp them.
