Davina McCall spills the secrets behind her famous abs and reveals her food swaps

With abs of steel at 57, it’s hardly surprising Davina McCall takes her health very seriously. ‘I want to be around for as long as I possibly can for my family so I want to stay as well as I possibly can,’ she tells Woman.
There’s no denying Davina’s body is incredible. When she recently posted a jaw-dropping red bikini photo – complete with matching cowboy boots – on Instagram, it gained almost 80,000 likes and thousands of positive comments. The fitness influencer was defiant in the face of trolls too, saying, ‘The more people go, “You shouldn’t be doing that”, the more I’m going to do it. It’s immediately sort of motivational.’
Yet, despite that, the My Mum, Your Dad presenter is adamant that taking care of herself is not much about vanity and more about feeling good in her later years. ‘Exercise is less about how I look and more about being healthy nowadays,’ she says.
That’s why, during her menopausal years, Davina has embarked on a health kick, focusing on eating unprocessed foods. ‘I’m going to try and live, in terms of food, a much cleaner life because I have got to midlife,’ she admits. ‘So, no ultra-processed foods. That is the key for me.’
Here, Davina reveals her healthy swaps and what keeps her motivated to work out.
