Jamavar Dubai just earned its first Michelin star, and behind the kitchen magic is a team whipping up tradition, emotion, and innovation — one beautifully plated dish at a time

Indian fine dining is being celebrated on some of the biggest global stages in recent times. Leading the charge is modern Indian restaurant Jamavar in Dubai that earned its first Michelin star within a year of its launch. Chef Surender Mohan is, without a doubt, on cloud nine. He tells us, “To receive our first Michelin star in Dubai is not just an honour, it’s a dream realised. As a chef, you pour your heart and soul into every dish, and to have that recognised is deeply humbling. I’m immensely proud of my team. This star is a testament to our roots, to Indian cuisine, and to everyone who believed in our vision.”
