A pair of onetime sweethearts reconnect after years apart in new BBC2 drama Mix Tape. Set along two timelines, the four-part tale begins in 1989 with a young Alison and Daniel (Florence Hunt and Rory Walton-Smith) bonding over music as teenagers in Sheffield with that visceral, powerful young love that you experience for the very first time,' explains Jim Sturgess, who plays the older Daniel. 'However, it gets cut short when Alison has to leave Sheffield, which leaves Daniel with a huge unresolved hole in his heart.'
