When Carla split from husband Peter the Christmas before last, she'd have probably laughed in the face of anyone who suggested she'd get hitched again. But within a year, the Underworld boss had fallen for cop Lisa Swain, and this week, she decides to seal the deal.

Carla has good reason to believe they're ready for marriage, given that they've had a lifetime's worth of turmoil in just nine months and survived it all - what with Carla's liver transplant, the ghost of Lisa's dead wife Becky hanging around and, of course, the pain in the arris that is Lisa's daughter Betsy.
