TOM DALEY on how his crafting contest will have us hooked

Diving sensation Tom Daley took up knitting in 2020 as a way to practise mindfulness, with his hobby making a splash at the Tokyo Olympics a year later - as well as winning gold in the men’s synchronised 10m platform event with partner Matty Lee, he was spotted working on various projects including a Team GB cardigan. Now, the star of The Celebrity Traitors is hoping to keep us in the loop as the host of C4's new competition Game of Wool. Filmed in Scotland, the eight-part series will see 10 amateurs showcasing their skills in a bid to impress wool experts Di Gilpin and Sheila Greenwell. Here, Tom, 31, tells TV Times why the show is set to be a good yarn...

What inspired you to first pick up knitting needles, Tom?
