The little ‘Emmerdale’ sign that greets folk on entry to the village should have a warning underneath: ‘Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.’ Just weeks after three residents popped their clogs in a grisly car crash (and a fourth was mysteriously drugged), the picturesque hamlet – currently home to a convicted child killer, a dead paedophile and a drowned and dismembered dad – is the scene of a mysterious collapse. Chas Dingle is the one keeling over, and although we don’t know for certain that villainy is involved, our spidey senses tell us that someone has been up to no good.
