Three months after Paddy's dad Bear left the village and lied that he was off to Ireland to stay with his friend, we finally discover where the pensioner has ended up - and, more importantly, how he's faring. He was in a bad way when he upped sticks, having lost his place in the world, and this had led to a series of fiery rows with Paddy.
