When evangelical pastor Noel Stanton welcomed a small group of idealistic Christians to a new community in Northamptonshire in 1973, he sold them a vision of a harmonious life worshipping God.

However, in the years that followed, the Jesus Fellowship Church became notorious for its physical and sexual abuse of vulnerable adults and children.
