HAVING FLED THE bloody war in his Syrian homeland to become a refugee in Canada, emergency room doctor Bashir “Bash” Hamed (Hamza Haq) has had a trying few years. “Over three seasons we've seen him haltingly learn to put himself back together,” says Joseph Kay, creator and showrunner of NBC's Canadian medical drama Transplant. “Season 4 brings this story to an emotional, cathartic conclusion.”
