Hyde leaves Jekyll behind in a new graphic novel series featuring collaboration from Johnny Depp

THE FORERUNNER TO the Hulk, Robert Louis Stevenson's original inner monster leaves his other half behind in Hyde - a new two-volume graphic novel series from production company Mechanical Cake's comics division, published in partnership with Ridley Scott's Scott Free.

“Hyde begins right where Strange Case Of Dr Jekyll And Mr Hyde ends,” says Jesse Negron, who co-writes with Joe Matsumoto. “We have a line, ‘In what implausible world would Jekyll defeat Hyde? When I look around the world, the Hydes virtually always win. Our Hyde creates a concoction, fakes his own death and kills off Jekyll. He wakes up and crawls out of the London morgue and goes to live in the sewer, where he conducts experiments on other Londoners without Jekyll holding him back.”
