Ahead of his movie debut, Krypto flies solo in miniseries The Last Dog Of Krypton

SET TO BE THE breakout star of James Gunn's Superman, Krypto the Superdog is now appearing in a brand new miniseries. Charting his journey from a puppy on his now-destroyed home planet to becoming the Man of Steel's faithful canine companion, The Last Dog Of Krypton delves into largely unexplored territory compared to Superman and Supergirl's more familiar formative days.

“We know exactly what happened to Clark and Kara from birth to Earth, but with Krypto there’s many more blank spaces on the map,” says writer Ryan North. “I saw an opportunity to tell a really heartfelt story, and the chance to do it from the point of view of a poor lost dog, all alone on an alien world called Earth.”
