SAIREE CHAHAL, founder of Mahila Money and Appreciate Capital, talks to Ravina M Sachdev about creating a world where women have equal access to economic opportunities

A serial entrepreneur, angel investor, and advocate for women's economic inclusion, Sairee Chahal has played a significant role in shaping the landscape for women entrepreneurs in India. As the founder of Sheroes, an online ecosystem for women, and Mahila Money, a community-focused neobank for women, she is committed to creating platforms that provide women with opportunities for growth, financial independence, and career advancement.

Sairee studied at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Russian and later pursued an MPhil in International Relations. Post that, she pursued a post graduate diploma in Business Management from the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad. “This gave me a practical understanding of business and strategy, which later became essential in my entrepreneurial journey,” she explains.
