Deal With Post-Vacation Blues

It was only yesterday that you were basking under the sun on a beautiful Greek island or lounging in your sheets, sipping hot cocoa while gazing at the stunning Himalayan mountain range. The world felt so much kinder and better. And now, here you are, dreading the return to the same old work routine. How could this ever compare to getting a relaxing full-body massage from an expert Thai therapist or wandering the streets of Paris in search of the perfect croissant?

Well, nothing does. Nothing can. But here's what we can do post-holiday to keep life from feeling like it only happens on vacation.

Ease Into It

Give yourself a soft return. If possible, schedule an easy landing day with no heavy meetings or deadlines. Let it be a quiet time when you check your emails, have your favourite coffee, and ease into it. Consider it an opportunity to feel your rhythm again rather than jump back in the deep end.

Boost Your Mood

Bring a little joy into your workday. Play your feel-good playlist, tidy up your desk, or light a calming candle (if allowed). Even something small like a warm drink or your favourite snack can lift your spirits. Add little souvenir stickers or magnets from your trip. The more you add, the better you'll feel about looking to your next adventure.
