As of 2025, the team at Iro Iro has upcycled more than 50,000 kilograms of pre-consumer waste.

"Our aim is to upcycle 200 kilograms of waste every month," shares Bhaavya Goenka, founder and designer of the brand. These are mainly fabric scraps and yarn waste from garment-manufacturing factories as well as local tailors in and around the village in Rajasthan where the brand does most of its weaving. "Once we collect the waste, we segregate it by colour and textile - polyester, cotton, etc.," explains Bhaavya. "After that process is complete, our women artisans - some of whom have been working with us for seven years - either take the waste home or come to a designated space in the village to convert it into a linear form that can be woven into a new fabric."
