As temperatures soar, there's that urge to get the summer chop: where you're looking to reduce your hair length and volume. Instead, why not style your mane to get it off your neck? A top knot is a cool solution.

Start by using a paddle brush to remove any knots in your hair. Flip your head down and brush your hair from the tips to the roots to add volume.

Use a dry shampoo spray on your hair, keeping it seven to eight centimetres away from your head to ensure it leaves no white residue. Brush out to diffuse the product evenly; this will also help build volume into your hair. If you have thin, fine hair, opt for a volumising hair product instead.
